Thanks for your recommendation of the Nvidia GTX 275!
When the Battlefield Bad Company 2 Demo came out, I was running and an Nvidia 7900. That, along with my rather old system specs (Win XP, Duo Core E6600, 2 GB RAM), BC2 played like a PowerPoint.
Seeing that I wasn’t going to be able to get a new system for some time, I figured I would try a new graphics card first. Not knowing where to start, I just started looking around asking people and getting confused.
Then I checked out Maximum PC (both the magazine and online) and noticed that the performance/price point you guys discussed a lot, at the time, was the GTX 275 (and even the 260).
Well, needless to say, I am pleased with my purchase. BC2 plays like a charm (I average 45-70 FPS depending on the map and amount of chaos)
What else is cool is that I’ve been playing some older games now and cranking up the graphics…I like the new found eye candy.
(now this is where I’m going to get everyone’s “adviseâ€
