Maximum PC

I just renewed Maximum PC (non-CD edition) for another two years for US$24.95 via its publisher. However, I’ve noticed other online magazine services, including Amazon.com, have it a lot cheaper. Even for the price that I paid for, I still feel that it is worth every penny. But I do wonder why the huge price difference. I don't think that it is because of the introductory offers, since the renewals are also cheaper via the said services.

This also applies to PC Gamer as well, which I subscribe to the CD edition. Therefore, in the future, I am considering of renewing both my subscriptions via online magazine services instead of directly from the magazine publishers. So, what do you guys/gals think?

As long as people are subscribing to the magazine they would be happy since the more people that subscribe to the magazine the more they can charge their advertisers.

Also it's not like Amazon is doing anything illegal or for that matter against Future Inc's wishes.

I will probably go that route, too. Thanks for the info. I never knew that online magazine services can set their own prices (with Future's approval, of course).
