can we do another more current Audio Deathmatch ?

like, the Z-5500 from Logitech has been sitting in the throne for what, 7 years now ? all the recent reviews has been mostly 2.1 systems, like the recent Klipsch set, but really, whats a Maximum Power PC without 5.1 or greater today ? :s

i'm pretty sure something else has caught up, especially given the days now that HDMI & TrueHD streams are now commonplace in HomeEntertainment Systems..there has to be some better system combination out already within the price range, and i believe in MaxPC to deliver the brutal cage fights >:D

this might be just me but once you hit blu ray and trueHD quality (or even before), you dont even bother with "computer" speakers, you use an AVR and real speakers.

still be a fun article though.

Maximum PC should also rate especially these days with the HDMI interface on the video or sound cards that's going to connect with those AVR or even AV pre-/power setups with those big speakers eg, Wilson Audio - Grand Slam...!

And also rate those cables in the market over those stock cables in which bundled with our video cards!

I'd like to see M-Audio's AV40s, bx5a and bx8a reviewed. As well as Audioengine A5 and A2, Swans M10 and m200 MKII and 1080mkii.

Hey! Isn't these are studio Active monitors?
IMO, I find them rather flat sounding as versus those normal speakers!
But there again it's personal taste of music.
