Dear Maximum PC:
Your information is incorrect regarding Games Workshop. In your March 2010 issue (Gaming Awards P.52), you claim Games Workshop stole Orcs and the space elves/humans/bugs theories from Blizzard.
This is not true- Games Workshop (Itself founded in 1975) released the first edition of the tabletop Warhammer Fantasy Battle (The universe WAR: Online is based in) in 1983. Warhammer 40k's tabletop version (The universe Dawn of War 2 is set in) was first released in 1987. Both of these games have been updated throughout the years and are still played very frequently, and have a fairly large fanbase.
Blizzard entertainment wasn't even founded until 1991 under the name of Silicon and Synapse, 4 years after Warhammer 40k's debut and almost a decade after Warhammer Fantasy. If anything, Blizzard stole their ideas from Games Workshop.
You open your section with "Cite your sources, GW!" and the cover of your magainze says "Minimum BS". I'm a long time reader and, frankly, am surprised there wasn't more research put into this. Especially with the fairly hostile tone you seem to take in that section.
Edit: Forgot to mention that Starcraft was released in 1998. A full 11 years AFTER Warhammer 40k.
