While helping in this topic -
http://www.maximumpc.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=102266, I read a little further into that issue of Maximum PC, and came across this section:
It is interesting to see what will be in the Dream Machine this year. Each of the Editors at the time seem to have some part of it right, except for Will oddly enough

.
Gordon's bit - Quad core and 16 GB's or RAM, 4 TB of storage, SATA 3, and multiple optical and harddrives seem to be in the right area. What he failed on was the BTX formfactor.
Josh's bit - The six core bit is interesting, with i9 sometime in the future, and the 2 GB's of memory on the video card is pretty good, but looking at the dream machine that year, it was the last shot in the "Speed Wars" where they used a 3.6 Ghz P4. NVIDIA and ATI are still around as seperate companies, and Half Life 2 isn't even done yet, much less a third or forth game even mentioned.
Logan's bit - In a way, it sounded like he knew that smartphones would be really powerful, or that netbook/ultra portables would be hitting the market.
Will's bet - We'll see in 2100.

-- So what do you guys think of all of this.
