Aside from the overclockability of the P4C800 over the D875PBZ, what other benefit would I see in changing boards?

Unless planning on doing some heavy overclocking, you're not going to see any "benefit" in swapping. You already have a solid, Canterwood mobo, and the benchmarking in all reality is minimal.

I wouldn't "upgrade" to just a P4C800, but go the extra distance and opt into the Deluxe. Here's a good read on why it's still a Kickass board:

Tomshardware updated review of 875 boards

I still love the Abit IC7-Max3, but if I had zero interest in overclocking, then the Asus would be my choice hands down.

Intel mobos are usually pretty good, just not with lots of the goodies that others offer. i would stick with the Intel unless you have a need for a lot of the onboard stuff of the asus

make sure if that if you do the switch, that the Asus has the -E at the end, as in P4C800-E, else you'll be missing out the CSA gigabit ethernet.

ability to overclock is the only benefit i see.
