Alright, there's a coupon in GotApex.com to get the Dell 2001FP LCD for $749 plus tax, these don't come often, regular price is $900.

So now I'm stuck with either buying that one or the Samsung 172X (~ $550).

It's a lil bit of a price difference, but I want some opinions on which one you guys think is better.

If you've got the cash, my vote goes to the Dell.

Any say on why I should choose that one. I know its the MaxPC kickass LCD and will probably hold that title for a while, but does anyone have any personal experience with either one.

I'm going from a ~60 lb. 19" Sony Trinitron CRT, so either one would be an incredible difference.

Thanks

The Dell, duh.

It's bigger, looks better, etc etc etc.

Not saying the Samsung is bad :) They are both good, but if you can afford the 2001FP, bigger is always better.

The 710T has the same contrast ratio, dvi, and 12ms timing where the 172x has a lower contrast ratio...and cost more.
