Leave it to our favorite vendor to give us all a card for this price! Probably about $80-$100 off the normal price tag. As one of the banned would say...."WoW".

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDe ... 202&depa=1

It's the standard 6800, but for that price, I figured it should be the "budget" card to recommend until the sale runs out.

I KNEW someone would beat me to that. I just go home from a Bar-B-Que, checked techbargains, and was going to update this thread. :)

They also listed a 6800GT for $329, but by the time I checked the link, it says "This item is currently unavailable from the manufacturer." Might be worth checking periodically though:

EDIT:
Here's the $250 link mentioned above:

Saw the PNY too...about 30 minutes after you posted. I saw that you guys updated it, but still you have to wait. And what's shipping over there at buy.com? I've never used them, so I don't know. Newegg's is free and uses FedEx.

I only post now days because One4yu2c is running me out of a job. If I didn't post, I'd just drift back into being a lurker because it's already covered:D

;)

To my ZIP code (Michigan), it came to $6.37. I didn't order it, but went through the checkout process as you had me curious.

LOL, I notice we run around these boards quite a bit. Someguy as well. It's good for checks and balances, a troubleshooting tip has to get by at least 3 consistent posters to pose a problem :D

Not to me, but that's up to personal opinion. Wouldn't be so bad if you could get around $170ish for your existing card (EBay, etc), but I'd be more apt to hold onto it for awhile yet.

Second the motion. A 9800PRO has a good breeze in it's sails still. Should carry you into the next handful of qtrs...I'd stay on base.

I have a friend looking for a $150 card though...drop me an email if you want to take One4yu2c's ebay suggestion further.

was hoping to get $170, as that seems to be the ending price i see on eBay, and since the 5700 is at $142, i'd be downgrading for only $8.

in your opinion, does the http://www.arctic-cooling.com/en/products/vga_silencer/ lower or add the value?
