Lets see here...first coolermaster dumps 2 classic cases.
Antecs cases all look the same. I mean my case i bought back
in 2000 looks the same as the current shit. Thermaltakes cases
look like antecs cases on crack. Lian Li just looks cheap and low
quality. And Zalmans are just boring. Are these companies really
running out of ideas? And is anybody besides me getting tired of a
generic case with fan in the window yet? OH and the future of
cases....the CM STACKER...is a tall tower meant so u can place
every stupid knob and fan controller that CM has in lineup
on it. Im hoping someone gets some fresh ideas cause these
cases are boring.[/url]

Why not design and build your own then?

If only the Alienware cases were sold separately. They would make a fortune. If I had an extra $2,000 lying around I'd get one for the case alone. Oh well

I totally agree with you. The other day I was looking around for a new case and I couldn't find and good ones.

I think for now I will build my own cases, and I want to put one of my computers in a G4 or G5 case.

Just buy a basic design in the color of your choice and modify it until it suits you.

Man, I agree. I've got an antec lameboy and it is one cheap piece oif crap. I've taken it to two lan parties and both times it ends a little warped.

I'd love one of the old Coolermaster cases. Chenming, antec, chieftech, thermaltake are all the same. I'd like to see a nice new clean design.

I have a atc-110 of course the filter is messed up due to a shitty screw. I was thinkingof getting a coldforge earlier but none were to be found so I ended up getting a lian li v2000.

I think coolermaster fucked up dumping the older cases and their customer service is non exsistent....

Holy Crap!

You're right, that Jazz Take5 looks cool. However, the prices are more expensive than the Cooler Masters. Upwards of $300

Bah, I love my Lian-Li PC-60 case....awesome.

Sure, its durability doesn't stand up to my old steel full tower, but it's a sexy aluminum case with everything I need. I like this particular case because it doesn't have a door (doors get in the way) and it's a simple, clean design, both inside and out.

My only complaint : The snap-off front bezel of the case should have been attached with thumbscrews instead.

If you want one, you can still get one. I don't know which ones you were talking about them killing, but I hated most of them anyway. I've still got one of the older ATC's, and the door was warped from the get-go. The ones without the door, I didn't care so much about.

Normal. Chieftec makes these and they just try to add their flare so they look different than the other. And the design is tried and true, so why change? I hate the thermaltakes, but with all the bling-bling type buying them, I wouldn't mind if I was making them. Going down the case isle at Fry's, I always see freaks gawking this horid looking thing. They're fascinated with flashing things.

Not in my opinion. They're just adjusting to the fads to sell a product. If you make a case that looks like a power ranger head or a big glowing cube of dog poo, it'll sale. The only thing they haven't done is put some spinning wheel things on the fan covers...or a "whoo whoo" device:p

Just because that's what they show on their site doesn't mean you have to actually buy all that crap for it to be a great case. I don't know what you're looking at, but it's the best performing case I've ever had.

Take an active part in this then. I know as a fact that coolermaster is taking suggestions very seriously. I've mentioned several flaws in their line and they've responded and acted upon many of them.

I'm not sure about you, but I buy on performance, then take a look at it for aesthetics. What, exactly, are you looking for if all these cases are boring? No, I'm not super happy with the majority, but I never HAVE been impressed with many. They're just cases dood. I doubt they'll ever make a be-all, end-all case that makes everyone happy. Until then, they'll follow the trends and fads the market requests. Until then, brake out some sheetmetal and a dremel...

And what's wrong with what Norem posted? That's not so bad...
