Hey everyone,

I finally got a decent sized CF card for my new Canon A80, now I'm wondering, what are some good rechargeable batteries for it?

I seem to remember reading that anything over 2100MAh (sp?) was supposed to be fine. But is that true? Is there not really a difference between brands, just so long as you buy at or above that spec?

Any advice is MUCHO appreciated.

Thanks!

I have an Olympus C5050 with a big memory card and use RayOVac 2100 mAh batteries. I've YET to run the batteries down before I fill up the card, and I take between 100-200 pictures per day. Hope this helps.

Any Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) with 2100mAh should do you good. Make sure you get a good charger to go with it.

Don't buy any of the Mercury branded NiMH batteries, I got a few of these POS's and they only lasted about 2 months.

I switched to the 2100mA Panasonic NiMH and never looked back.

Ive got an HP camera..couple years old. I use the Rayovac 15min charger and batteries. Works great, havent ran them out yet while ive been out taking pictures. I always come back home and throw them on the charger so there ready to go the next time i need them. Highly recommend them.

They have 2400mAh NiMH AAs for under $14 per 4-pack. I get all my rechargables from this site. Although it looks like a 5th grader made the site they have yet to let me down.

As a plus they're environmentally friendly.

Sweet Link, I think I may pick a few of them up and test them out.
