 Post subject: maxtor hdds on sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i know this is a repost as i saw a similar post last night. well i went out to comp usa today and bought one for 130bucks. now my question is, do you guys know if this is a REBADGE edition?? hopefully its not because i will return the sucker and its not worth my money.

i have the box here and even though if i open it i couldnt tell. well enlighten the keymaker please.

WTF is a "rebadge edition"?
i think he means refurbished or remanufactured.

i am pretty sure that if a product is refurbished or remanufactured or factory renewed, all terms for the same thing, they are legally obligated to tell you that. i think they would have to put some sort of marking on the box informing you that it was not a new product.

thanks athlon11, did you get one? i didnt see any refurbish logo on the box. im pretty sure its new one, i was just kinda skeptical. thanks for the input though.

no, i didnt buy one, but over a year ago i got a maxtor 160gb drive at best buy for $100 after rebates and it was new.

that would also mean seagate drives are getting cheaper but i havent seen that.

:D fry's has the 120 model for 59 or 69.. hehe i got me like 4 of them suckers.. and theyre not refurbished, these are brand new at least thats what fry's says. (hehe) I got them striped and working beautifully.
4x 8meg buffer 7200rpm 120 drives

1 for the GF's rig
1 for the Xbox
2 for my rig
