Well I'm planning on building my new computer and I have been unable to find the ASUS A7N8x Deluxe on-line but I have been able to locate the ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe. I looked at the specs and they seem almost identical w/ the exception that the -E had a couple more features.... So will the ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe be a good substitute for the motherboard?

BTW Here are my plans:
Motherboard: ASUS "A7N8X-E Deluxe" nForce2 Ultra 400 Chipset (Model: A7N8X-E Deluxe)
Processor: AMD Athlon XP 3200+ "Barton", 400MHz FSB, 512K Cache (Model: AXDA3200BOX)
Memory: Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series, (Twin Pack) 184 Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200 (Model: TWINX1024-3200C2)
Hard Drive: Western Digital Raptor 36.7GB 10,000RPM SATA Hard Drive (Model: WD360GD)
Video Card: BFG Asylum GeForce FX5700 Ultra
Case and Power Supply: Antec SOHO File Server w/ built in 450 Smart Power Power Supply (Model: SX1045BII)

Thanks in advance for any and all help :D
Eventually I will throw another 36 gb raptor in raid 0 array, but for right now I'm strapped for cash....
Also I'm not into overclocking...

the reason u cant find the A7N8X Deluxe is it was discontinued and replaced with the A7N8X-E Deluze, i recently had to give up my A7N8X when it died and newegg sent me the -E version it has several nice features including gigabit LAN and a wireless slot for Asus's WiFi card

NVidia changed their NForce cores around a little bit (A7N8X used simply "NForce 2" chipsets). Now you have NForce 2 ultra 400 blah blah blah, hence the -E.

You're getting argueably the best nForce2 mobo available. Widely accepted as the top dawg next to Abit's offering.

I have the A7N8X-E Deluxe and can recommend it.

The only complaint that I have right now is you block two pci slots when you plug in the 1394 to the mobo, the card uses up yet another pci slot.

But on the plus side it has built in 5.1 surrond, on board sata raid, 10/100 AND Gigabit lan, 6 USB 2.0 ports which really leaves the pci slots empty anyway unless you want to add an Audigy. Even adding the Audigy you still have a slot free.

Actually, rev. 2.0 PCB of the "regular" A7N8X Deluxe uses the Nforce 2 Ultra (aka gimme mah 400FSB) also ;)

Me <-- Got lucky when I built my rig and managed to get a rev. 2.0 board.
