I just pulled the trigger on upgrading my nVidia 260 GTX to an AMD 7870.

Is it possible to use the 7870 for graphics duties while the 260 is used solely for PhysX?

If it is possible would it be even worth it? Would I even notice the difference?

NVIDIA won't let you use hardware accelerated PhysX if you have an AMD card. Officially.

PhysX is more for eye candy than any actual game play enhancer. The only game that uses PhysX as a core mechanic is Crazy Machines, and even then it's nothing the CPU can't handle.

Yeah I kinda figured the "officially" part so I wenta googling and I found some hacked drivers that will allow it.

I figured instead of having the 260 laying around and doing nothing that it could do some PhysX that my newer AMD card can't.
