Maximum PC

I just got some parts for my new build, and I want to plug my case fans into my PSU (Corsair TX650) to make sure they all work properly.

The fans (CM red LED) each come with a 3-pin to molex adapter. Now, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I can't seem to plug the male molex plug from the fan into the female plug on the PSU. I'm sure it's oriented correctly. I don't think there are any tabs to squeeze or anything. It just won't go in. Can somebody help me recover from this mental block?

in my experience sometimes those molex adapters are just hella tight


obviously they should only plug in one way (angled @ top) make sure you have it right


do you have mb 3 or 4 pin connectors? cause i prefer to use those.

I see what you mean. I guess I had to go against my better judgment and force them in.

I'll use the 3-pin connectors once I actually get my mobo. I might have to use molex anyway, though; the mobo has 4 connectors and I have 5 fans...
