I have three computers on my desk, running any of three OS's - W7, Linux and OS X. The free Synergy utility allows me to use single keyboard and mouse to control all three PCs, regardless of the OS. When my mouse pointer reaches the edge of one screen, Synergy uses the wi-fi network to take control over the next machine. If you're multi-PC'ing it's a must have. It's the closest thing to magic that your PC will likely encounter.

I used to use Synergy years ago before multi monitor was really doable for me. It also worked really well when I had multiple boxes that I was running tests on.

Now that you've re-introduced it to me I'm using it to control my laptop with my desktop mouse/keyboard when its on my desk.

A nice piece of software, I recommend it. The 1.4 beta version is more user friendly and seems very stable so far.
