Maximum PC

Hello All,
I friend of mine offered to sell me his HD 5870 at a good price. I currently am running the same card in my main machine and am wondering if the addition of a second card would result in any noticeable improvement in gaming. The rest of my system specs are:

i5 750 @ 3.2, EVGA P55 FTW edition, 8GB Corsair DDR3 1600MHz, 1TB WD Caviar Black, Intel 80GB SSD, XFX HD5870. My PSU is a CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX. I am running Win 7 64-bit. My resolution is 1920 x 1200.

If you already have a matching card, I say go for it.

+ Higher frame rates at higher resolutions
+ Less lag and stuttering.
+ More folding horse power (if you get into that)
+ 20-30% + better performance in games.
+ Cross Fire
+ Bragging rights to your friends running a single card (unless said single card is faster)

- More noise
- Price
- More Heat

If it is truly a good price, this is a win.

I would do it. Of course I am Crossfire crazy.

i have crossfired 5870s on my current PC, i say that one is enough for most games, but if you need the extra GPU power, 2 of those will not be a slouch.
