Anybody here anything new about UEFI? Will it be used in the new Intel and AMD motherboards?

Many of the new P67 mobos are using UEFI. I know specifically the Asus Maximus IV is, but I remember seeing others using it as well. It looks like we're finally getting into the generation of no BIOS. I'd expect most, if not all Ivy Bridge parts to finally implement it.

i was just wonderin weather one could replace a bios chip with an UEFI.

just a thought
