Checking in! Thanks Blondie.....I wondered where everyone was getting all the cool PPd stats. Out-Box will continue to fold and add CPU's.

Honostly? No. Active should sit back and watch. Those that have dropped should report IMO.

There's a lot of zeros being put up, and even those up into the 200+ ranks. Why? Well, it's my opinion that many take it as a fad and just lose the interest. I don't see the reasoning, but I see the logic.

I've even stopped folding there for a while last year when I knew I couldn't beat a lot of people with my sorry rigs I had. Getting to the 500's was a feat. You have to admit, that this is a big competition of sorts, and if you can't win...you fold (pun not intended, and then it was...). I now fold again on one little machine just to fold because it IS a good cause. I'm now idle at 400'ish and fine with that for now. I just don't have the network of friends and PC's to set up collectives and have no real drive to increase the folding power except for the cure for these diseases themselves.

Scroll down to 776, then look up, you'll see you turned in a WU that hasn't reached OC yet & your actually ranked 769! At your user name @ OC, click on user overtake, this will show you that in 4 days (approx) you will go to page 7, thus be in the high 600's! You can also click on page 9, 10 etc. to see if anyone will pass you (they will show in red) - altho it doesn't look like it!

I'm asking because some do not know they are not active & are having issues. We may even try to get a buddy program going.



Perhaps we can get some collectives going after the check in - because, you are correct, getting past certain points takes either time or more boxes, you hit a wall. This will happen to me soon.

On another note, it was discussed to make more team badges for other levels which haven't been decided yet. Having 3 basic badges (Team, Top 100, Top 10) IMO is not enough.

Gary480six checking in. I'm doing fine and nothing has stalled - thanks for asking.

The first problem is that some of the MaxPC folders don't know there is a forum here! They never found out there is a place to ask for help.
Also, a few people have asked Maximum PC to devote a little more space in a future issue to our folding family but so far.............
They did a piece about folding last spring and it got alot of people interested in joining the team - including me.

Xenolyth checking in. Have 6 Active Computers and adding 4 more soon. No problems. I'm totally addicted to folding and getting to page 1. Won't be a fad for me. It is the good cause that will keep me going even if all my computers blow up!

I'm still alive, just moving slowly. Currently sitting at #85 folding asmhinoki. Seems as though I've hit that wall you referred to.


Note on active members:
There's a group of ~60 members that cycle around 35 days, then drop back off the radar. They're most likely users with older machines.
