|
| Didn't know where to post this.. but does anyone know of any free HDTV Calibration software? I saw the monster ISF DVD but I'm not trying to spend 20 bucks.. I guess I will if I have to but I figured there would be some free stuff available. I did a search and only found one set of slides but I didn't really understand how to use them.. there were no instructions. |

We have a great Multimedia section for this.
I'm moved it there. |

| There are decent calibration tools on every LucasArts/THX DVD. Indiana Jones and Star Wars all have it. |

Do you have a Netflix subscription and a Blu-Ray player?
Rent the DVE disc.
There are differences between NTSC encoding and ATSC/HD encoding.
Me? I calibrate for ATSC and don't worry about NTSC as much.
If there were an ISF calibrator here in Huntsville I would pay the money in a heartbeat.

| Thx I qued Indiana Jones in Netflix.. as far as DVE goes.. don't you need the color filters to use it correctly? I can pick those up at a camera store right? |

It is hit or miss with Netflix, but if it was returned, you'll receive it in the envelope.
BTW: Amazon has DVE for $16.
If you ever need to re-calibrate or calibrate another display, it would be handy to have around.
