recently SC has started coming down on short or single word posts; even going so far as to add a new rule to the forums

17. One word/phrase replies to a thread will not be tolerated. Examples include - but are not limited to - '+1' or 'This' or '^^' .

As this section is somewhat prone to those responses (a lot of us often agree with each other) I figured I would give everyone a special heads up.

If you agree with something someone else posted and wish to reinforce what they said please do! I for one always appreciate backup. But please explain exactly why you do, instead of just writing one or two words.

thank you

Thanks for the heads up Gailim. I'll try not to fail anyone. Any chance of getting an exemption to policy approved for us?

The new rule has Epic Fail written all over it.

What if we wrote the single word response twice?

Ok, I'll take my smart-ass hat off now.

I guess posting, just like programming, is not as simple as "Hello, World!" anymore. Guess I'll have to take this rule to Visual Studio 2010 as well as Max PC Forums. ;)

They have silly rules, sure (get me started) ...but is a picture still worth 1,000 words? Or how about binary? Hex for that matter?
