Yeah! Curved TV and monitor even 4K ... just a passing fade like 3D! Sure some will buy but ...

At that width you'd want the bend. I can' imagine running multiple panels with out angling the ones on the edge toward me. Lining them up straight across doesn't make a lot of sense.

At that aspect ratio and size, it helps its curved if only to help create less distortion.

What people want is a 40, 50, 60+ inch 4K 60Hz display with display port. I dont get why the manufacturers wont make large gaming displays. They could make a FORTUNE if they did.

I can't imagine sitting 3 feet away from a 60+ inch screen

...and enjoying it

Because not everyone has enough desk space for that.

Plus they'll be ungodly expensive.

Like others here, I do not like the lower vertical height aspect ratio ( I HATE 1080P) also I do not think two of these would work in surround but that could be fixed with drivers however then the center bezel would be right in the middle of your viewing area.
Three of these would be interesting in surround however but I do not think my pair of 780Ti's would run that set up with deceit frame rates..... however, there is always the upcoming 900 series of NV cards :-)

This is pretty interesting. I've got a set of 24" Ultrasharps from 2008 that I've been looking to upgrade, and something like this would be nice. Judging by the 60Hz I'm guessing these are IPS. I'd like to see some 120Hz IPS screens.

I'm not sure how I feel about losing the vertical screen space. It's 16:10 is much nicer for viewing web pages. I also wish they didn't bother pumping up the price, weight, and complicating design by adding a worthless set of speakers. They can honestly save that kind of work for AIO panels.

16:9 seems to be where most of the screens are going to. Less and less of the 16:10's out there than there used to be. 21:9 seems pretty absurd to me for a computer monitor.

Most 21:9 aren't that good. They trade off height in exchange for width and call it 24". Once you get to 34" though they shine. Gamers of course for immersion. But also folks used to two screens. They finally have enough room to do side by side work on one screen.

How is it absurd when it's basically combining (almost) two monitors into one? Less clutter to deal with for those who could use the real estate.

Besides, with a large enough 21:9 monitor that's curved, you wouldn't need surround vision anymore.

The 21:9 ratio is nice for gaming on a single screen. Multiple screens are great for immersion, but not really any good for FPS. Ultra-wide screens are sort of a compromise. Anyway, how else are you going to watch a nice 2.4:1 print of the original Alien if not on something like this ;)

I've never used 21:9, but it seems ideal for laying two documents or web pages side by side on the same screen. Having the extra width would also be nice when working on pretty much anything creative.

In my case since I'm 1920x1200 I wouldn't lose any vertical space by going to these like I previously thought.

As a 3 monitor nvidia surround user, I think the pic is a bit misleading. Would 2 even work with nvidia surround? It requires 3 monitors to even get the option as far as I know. I suppose nvidia could whitelist them in their drivers to only need 2. Can AMD do 2 monitor eyefinity?

Though Ive got to go with others saying having the bezel, no matter how small in the middle would be a no-go for most if not all games.. now 3 of these bad boys.. yes please!

NV Surround only works with 3 monitors.

I think it'd make more sense for nVida so support the resolution or duel aspect ratio than the monitors themselves. 21:9 is becoming more common.

I know it is two monitors side by side....I didn't just fall of a turnip truck!

I just said the bar in the middle sux! That is my opinion.

Looks like it's an IPS monitor too, very nice. Couldn't find any info on whether it's standard or wide color gamut, but this could be pretty sweet.

avatar

Can't stand the bar in the middle, looks like crap.

i think you have visual aids. Not pictures to aid your presentation, legit aidsy eyeballs preventing you from seeing correctly. those are 2 monitors together, obviously a single monitor isnt gonna have a fuckin bezel in the middle

That's two of them side by side...
