Dell Launches Family Friendly Inspiron One 2320 All-in-One Desktop

Dell is calling its new Inspiron One 2320 all-in-one PC the "ultimate stay-connected desktop for families" equally suited for hammering away at homework assignments, keeping track of expenditures, and for watching movies and music. Pitching the homework angle might prove a tough selling point for school age kids, even if it makes mom and pop smile, but there's plenty more you can do with it.

The Inspiron One 2320 is equipped with a 23-inch WLED touchscreen that measures just 68mm deep (or 66.5mm if you opt for the non-touch version) and boasts a Full HD 1920x1080 resolution (cue the groans for not going with 1920x1200). There are two baseline configurations to choose from, one built around an AMD processor and the other with Intel inside.

Pricing starts at $773 for an AMD foundation and includes:

  • AMD Athlon II X2 240e processor (ATI Radeon HD 4270 graphics)
  • 4GB DDR3-1333
  • 1TB hard drive
  • 8x DVD burner
  • 802.11n
  • Wireless keyboard and mouse
  • Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Cost of an entry for an Intel system is $949 and includes most of the same features, but with an Intel Core i5 2400S processor, 6GB of RAM, TV tuner, and remote control.
