Laserblast by Activision was crap too. I'd argue that it was as bad if not worse than ET.

The Mac

There is something very ironic about a PC builder spaming a PC expert forum.

lol

The best part is they compare their builds to cyberpowerPC, listing their "Better" 3.9 Ghz AMD procs, vs the "inferior" 3.6 i-7 used in the Cyberpower machine.

Total loser scammers.

3.8 GHz AMD 8-core? So they can afford to give you an R9 290 but not an 8350? How does that work?

So how the hell did Microsoft get involved in this?

Ghost XFX

They're seeking their Hooooooooooley Grrrrrrrrrraile!
(Monty Python ref...)

Who knows? I hope they find their souls in that dig, and understand why they should listen to what their customers are telling them, instead of ignoring the masses that got them to the top.

So lets say that they do find some old Atari games. What the hell are they going to do with them. I don't think people would play E.T. even if the cartridges worked. I can't think of anyone who would buy one either.

I'm with you. There's the novelty aspect of "did this really happen?" to either squash or confirm what has been a long-standing urban legend.

But once they determine that, then what?

avatar

vrmlbasic

Unfortunately, this excavation can only confirm the legend. If they find nothing, it doesn't prove that the incident never occurred :(

lol, yes, Geraldo Rivera and Al Capone's vault ;)

Rift2

Outlaw was the best game for Atari =)

I played my cuz in that game just fun as hell

Ghost XFX

Anyone remember Geraldo and Capone's vault?

avatar

I do. What a waste of a night.

I had read that this was all a rumor, also that atari had gone back and removed it to prevent people finding it.

Don't know which is true, but I guess we'll know soon now.
