CyberPowerPC's Fang III Black Mamba is Meaner, Faster, and Slithering Through CES

Boutique gaming PC outfit CyberPowerPC said it hit the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) floor "at full throttle" accompanied by a top-of-the-line and decked out Fang III Black Mamba computer system. First introduced in December 2011, the Fang III can now take a bite out of gaming chores with AMD's new Radeon HD 7970 graphics card, which along with everything else will leave a couple of holes in your wallet.

Starting at just shy of five grand, the Fang III Black Mamba sports an Azza Fusion 4000 Super Full Tower computer case, liquid cooled Intel Core i7 3960X Extreme Edition processor overclocked by 30 percent or more, Asus Rampage IV Extreme X79 motherboard, 16GB of DDR3-1600 memory, 1,000W power supply, 120GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD, 2TB SATA 6Gbps hard drive, Blu-ray burner, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. It also ships with a pair of Nvidia GeForce GTX 590 videocards by default, though if you prefer to attack unsuspecting games with AMD's Radeon HD 7970 architecture, you can save $311 per card, effectively knocking $622 off the price.

CyberPowerPC is also making AMD's 7970 graphics card available on other gaming rigs with more pedestrian price tags. In addition, the boutique builder is rolling out a new Intel-powered desktop PC series based on the new NZXT Switch 810 Full Tower (pictured above) gaming chassis, which will be featured on several of CyberPowerPC's high-performance systems, the company said.
