Corsair Launches $59 Carbide Series 200R Computer Case

Corsair this week announced its most aggressively priced computer case to date, the $59 Carbide Series 200R . The new case is a mid-tower chassis with built-in solid state drive (SSD) compatibility, front panel USB 3.0 ports, cable routing cutouts, tool-free installation, and an all-black interior. According to Corsair, the only time you'll need to raid your toolbox for a screwdriver is when installing the motherboard. Corsair's other claim is that you don't have to sacrifice features and quality for a low price tag.

"The Carbide 200R is a great value case that breaks the mold by offering intelligent features, great cooling expandability, elegant looks, and is extremely easy to build," said Thi La, Senior VP & GM of Memory and Enthusiast Component Products at Corsair. "Too often PC builders on a budget are limited to low quality, poor-performing cases with ‘extreme’ looks. Now they have a clear, refined choice."

Corsair's newest enclosure is equipped with three 5.25-inch drive bays, four 3.5-inch bays, and four 2.5-inch bays. It has seven expansion slots, five 120mm/140mm fan mounts and three 120mm fan mounts. To get you started, Corsair includes a front-mounted 120mm fan (intake) and a rear-mounted 120mm fan (exhaust). There's also a dust filter behind the front fan.

The Carbide 200R is available now.
