The Scout 2 Advanced ships in new Ghost White and Midnight Black color options.

Cooler Master is relaunching its CM Storm Scout 2 mid-tower enclosure with a new " Advanced " edition. What's different about it? Well, it now comes in two new color options, Ghost White and Midnight Black, a decision Cooler Master made based on user feedback. The Ghost White version also comes with two limited edition Ghost White fans with white LEDs in the front of the chassis, as well as an additional rear exhaust fan.

The Midnight Black edition receives the same upgraded fan treatment, but with matching black fans and red LEDs. Aside from the color options, the other change Cooler Master made to the Advanced model is a retooling of the dust filter layout, which has been "re-evaluated to provide better coverage," the case maker says.

And what if you already purchased a Scout 2?

"To show our appreciation for the consistent and passionately attentive feedback provided by users, current owners of the original Scout 2 model may contact us on our support site to receive the Scout 2 Advance Upgrade Kit at no extra cost to them," Cooler Master says.

Other features of the Scout 2 Advanced include three 5.25-inch drive bays, seven 3.5-inch bays (four of which can convert to 2.5-inch bays), seven expansion slots, USB 3.0 support, room for up to nine fans, and a painted interior.

No word yet on price.
