And they messed up the scroll bar AGAIN. I have my scrollbar set to 25 width, IE and Firefox recognizes this but not Chrome. Will have to wait for them to fix it in the next patch.

This is such a simple idea, why hasn't it been thought of before. I have this problem all the time because the way I read news articles. I hit the site, open up new tabs for all the articles that interest me, and then start going through them. But one or more are now playing sounds I didn't ask for. Grrrr!

Autoplay on web sites should be a crime.

I really wish someone would release a FF extension that would patch in support for this (it's been a requested feature for years). It's always a great experience when I'm trying to help my wife find something online, fire up FF, and find that Pandora, hidden somewhere in a stack of 20 or 30 pinned tabs, is now blaring metal at 90+ decibels.

Part of me wonders if this wasn't a thing earlier (because I'm sure someone came up with this idea long ago) because Firefox appears to be a monolithic process and all audio goes through one multimedia subsystem. So it'd be hard to isolate who's actually causing the noise.
