Sooo, we are falling for netbooks again?

Yes.

Tablets are clunky to use if you need a keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time. Plus the Ultrabook craze is dying down because Intel and its partners can't figure out how to get one below $1000 starting.

Though I'd prefer a tablet with a keyboard dock so it can become a laptop. The problem with most tablets is that they either don't have a keyboard dock or it's separate.

Plus these still have one major advantage over Chromebooks: I can install and use a lot of the same software I use on my desktop.

Yeah, problem is this will cut into the surface line, people won't need such and expensive device I think if they can get a good enough cheap thin laptop and have $800 left over.

I doubt anyone considering a Surface would consider anything in this lineup.

I consider anyone looking for a surface an idiot, but those people looking for a portable machine that does everything they'll need work wise will see it's easier to have this throwaway and a real computer than a half assed attempt to do everything at a hefty price like surface.
