The Series 7 Chronos from Samsung is an interesting blend of technologies.

Samsung seems to have its hands in a little bit of everything these days, from televisions and cameras, to smartphones and even home appliances, such as refrigerators. Since this isn't Maximum Washing Machine or Maximum Microwave, so we stopped by Samsung's setup to see what PCs it had on display at the Consumer Electronics Show . We were treated to a pair of notebooks, one of which is the new Series 7 Chronos .

Billed as a professional and powerful performer, the Series 7 Chronos is a relatively thin and light notebook packing an Intel quad-core processor, up to 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage, dedicated 2GB external graphics in a slim chassis that measures 20.9mm (0.82 inches), and a new software solution called RAMacelerator. According to Samsung, this provides up to a 150 percent speed boost for browsing the web and running apps, all by simply taking advantage of existing memory.

CES ninja and Online Editor Jimmy Thang also caught a glimpse of Samsung's Series 7 Ultra, the company's newest Ultrabook with Windows 8. It has a 13.3inch touchscreen display with a Full HD 1080p (1920x1080) resolution and plenty of power thanks to an Intel Core i5/i7 and AMD HD 8670M foundation. Up to a 256GB SSD and up to 16GB of RAM is icing on the cake.
