Best Buy Taking Pre-Orders for HTC Thunderbolt, Release Date Still Sketchy

A ride to Best Buy and $50 are the only two things you need to place your pre-order for HTC's upcoming 4G Thunderbolt smartphone. Other details are decidedly less concrete, but according to reports , it will be available for pickup on February 14th, otherwise known as Valentine's Day. Online chatter also has new and upgrading pricing pegged at $250 with the now-standard 2-year service contract via Verizon.

The HTC 4G Thunderbolt comes with a 1GHz Qualcomm MDM9600 processor, 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, 8MP camera with autofocus and LED flash, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, Bluetooth, GPS, dual mics with noise canellation, 8GB of onboard storage, a preinstalled 32GB microSD card, and a handful of other goodies all wrapped around Google's Android 2.2 platform with HTC Sense on top.
