The game was absolutely broken at launch. It has become much more stable since then, and I rarely have an issue lately. The only continuing issue that I know about is the problem with the Lancang Dam map on Obliteration mode. (The ground around the objective on the island can be damaged to the point where it's nearly impossible to arm the objective.)

When EA (DICE) launch a game, they launch a pre-alpha release. People fanatically pay for it. Then, for the next year they release a few patches, a few freebies to shut the players off. By the end of first year the game gets to a beta stage and they cut off the support for it.

They are giving away grenades upgrades...what a charity. This is pathetic!

Just played for 2 hours straight. Not a single issue other then my mic not working but that was because it was unplugged from my tower...

I have played more then 100 hours of BF4 and the game runs great! I find it funny reading all the complaints when I have none...

Post system specs please. Your response is almost a meme at this point BTW.

Your specs are similar in power to mine. I would say I have a slightly higher end rig than yours (no penis measuring intended). And the issues are obvious to me after multiple OS and game re-installs, driver re-installs, and troubleshooting. So, my only guess is that you don't notice the problems because you are not smart enough...or you are just trolling. Either way I say your point it moot.

What? Not smart enough? LOL...

I've been building PC's since 95' been gaming since 1980! So I can say I know what I am doing. First, you claim to have a system as powerful as mine. Fair enough, is it an Intel based system or an AMD? Second, I am using the latest certified NVIDIA driver 332.21. I have a mild OC on my GTX 760 which is 1100core/6400memory giving me 204GB's of bandwidth. Temps are 45C. After an hour of BF4 my temps are around 60-65C. My 2500K hums along at 4GHz 24/7 and has been doing so since I bought the chip back in 2011. I have a LP Arctic cooler freezer 11 on it. Temps at around 45C.

As long as I do not pick a server outside of North America ( I am in Toronto Canada) I have very little issues with BF4. If I try to play on a European server then the game is brutal and not worth playing. My frame rate using retail fraps is a steady 90+ ultra quality no AA 1080P! This is not me trolling or being stupid. This is the truth of my experience with BF4. Why would I lie?

This is such B.S. I haven't been able to play BF4 for 2 days because it won't let me join servers. It either hangs on "Joining server ..." or "ERROR: Disconnected from game server".

If you take a look at Battelog forums, you'll see I'm not the only person having this issue, obviously. And moderators are in damage control mode, locking threads down.

DICE/EA need to get their priorities straight. What good are all these perks when all these players literally can't play the damn game in the first place. This whole situation is infuriating.

Oh i know what you mean, i get on to play the 2xp weekend and it was nothing but a nightmare. The game is going down faster then ever. I want my damn money back but they say it will be fixed sooner than later but.... IT STILL PLAYS LIKE SHIT AND NEVER WORKS....

I have been playing BF since the start. Each game has had its trials and tribulations and this one is no different. As the games get more complex, hardware is a hodge podged mix from countless vendors, more bugs will need to be worked out at a more complex level. I, as well as other gamers, are aware of this. We are fine with this. BUT, given the type of bugs this game has experienced, I for one will NEVER pre-order another Battlefield game or EA game again. Basic game components should work upon release and if not, they should be addressed first. The updates early on with the addition of items, emblems, paint....WHO CARES.

As of today the game has taken many strides forward on the reliability aspect, but something as simple as have your teammates icon above their heads show quickly still is an issue. Given that TKing multiple times is a kick or ban depending on the server, this breaks the game! Actually ducking behind cover but still getting shot like I was in the open, breaks the game. Pulling the trigger, splashing blood and have your enemy kill you with a single shot but still have 100 health, breaks the game. The netcode needs to be fixed, period.

I spend my money on my system for high fidelity graphics, audio and the like. The game does provide some of the most stunning visuals, period. I run a high end system with a low latency, high bandwidth sick internet connection. The issues are NOT on my end and NOT because of my system.

BF4 still has a lot of problems. The Netcode has never been fixed and I still experience no hits on enemies even at close range when playing in the game today. Also, DICE failed to implement an IP ping rate ceiling for players in the same server. To this day I still see players with ping rates over 400 in the server. Gee, I wonder why the server is so glitchy - DUH! So why did DICE do this? BF3 has a ping rate cap as does BF Bad Company 2. Why was it removed?? This is yet another reason why BF4 just doesn't play smoothly unless you are in a private server that requires a password to get in or an active admin that can kick players with high ping rates. Oh, and last but not least let's not forget to mention the widespread problems with cheaters all over the public servers. FairFight and Punkbuster have proven to be complete disasters and don't prevent any kind of the newer cheats from being used. Damage modifiers are the most common widespread hack. Aimbots and wall hacks are the two other favs of the BF4 world. My advice - STAY AWAY FROM BF4!! And don't hold your breath with TitanFall either. That game is from DICE and is guaranteed to be another disaster waiting to happen. Whatever you do, do NOT pre-order it. You have been warned. Play at your own stupidity and risk. NUFF SAID!

"DICE to give away grenades..." made me go "really?" until I saw the rest of the sub-headline.

My friend said after reading this article "Still not enough"

I don't understand how this helps people that unlocked these items already? I've unlocked a majority of them.

How about releasing the redone maps? (Metro, Caspian Border)

Or free premium upgrade?
(Sorry I don't know what to give the already premium guys =D)

"This is Dice's way of thanking players for putting up with early hiccups that plagued BF4's launch. Now several patches later, most of the issues that made BF4 a frustrating experience early on have been wiped out, and this latest effort on Dice's part may help bring some players back who had previously given up on the game."

Most issues that were patched have been replaced with newly created problems and glitches. And many never were fixed in the first place (although the control room said they were).
