Checking the BGI web page (which Beamdog does everything to prevent direct access), iPad reviews mention "needs work" and Android is still "coming soon".

The only way I can see playing this game is on a tablet. I'm pretty sure my BGII disks work (unfortately not my BGI disks). If you can get this from GOG cheaper, why would you want this on desktop (OSX users might)? But Beamdog doesn't seem interested (or it turned out to be way more work than the budget can supply).

"If you can get this from GOG cheaper, why would you want this on desktop (OSX users might)?"

Because not everyone wants or owns a tablet.

Pretty much the way I feel. I'd pay $10 for it, but $25 is out of the question.

Actually, a month or so ago, BG2 was on sale on Steam and I picked it up for something like $8. Everything else in the review is spot on, only I hit it for a lot less cash...

Thanks. I liked Baldur's Gate 2 when it first came out but undecided if the enhanced title was greatly improved.

Everyone should use the Black Mesa remake of Half-Life to see how it should be done.

^I tried the Black Mesa mod, but couldn't get past a door that was supposed to open but didn't. :/

I'll try again when it's released as a standalone game.

It used to be on Steam and in my library. I guess others must have had issues. As for the download:

Instructions include:
Need to load Source SDK Base 2007 from Steam tools.
run the setup.

By "door" I wasn't talking about installation issues :P

I meant there was a door in the game that didn't open (that was supposed), so this haulted my progression.
