AVADirect's Big and Burly Clevo P180HM Notebook Wields Two GTX 560M GPUs

At what point does a laptop become a desktop replacement? Debate that question all you want, but no matter where you draw the line, it's safe to say AVADirect's new Clevo P180HM gaming notebook crosses right over it . The P180HM brings an 18.4-inch Full HD (1920x1080) LED backlit display to the fight, which itself is powered by two GeForce GTX 560M GPUs.

The dual GPU configuration is a standard option, as are the following:

  • Intel Core i7 2630QM processor
  • 4GB DDR3-1066 RAM
  • Samsung 500GB hard drive (7200 RPM, 16MB cache)
  • DVD burner
  • 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi; Bluetooth
  • Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

AVADirect says the P180HM is based off of the Clevo X8100 mobile Core 2 Duo notebook from yesteryear, but with plenty of upgraded hardware and features. The P180HM boasts an HDMI 1.4a port, a pair of USB 3.0 ports, and a USB AC/DC port for use with USB powered devices (can also be used for eSATA devices that require AC power).

Plenty of upgrade options are available, or you can roll with the above setup for a little shy of $1,950.
