What are you doing from 11:00 P.M. on Monday, August 25th until at least 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 27th?
If you said "nothing", and you're really into multiplayer gaming,
you're at least 14 years old and you can get to San Jose CA, you might
be exactly the kind of die hard gamer NVidia is looking for. (You'll
also need to buy an Enthusiast ticket for the conference which is $50 through June 30 and $65 afterwards.)
The Guiness World Record for
the longest LAN party ever is currently no less than 36 hours non-stop
-- though non-stop in this case means you are awarded 10 minutes of
break time per 60 minutes of gametime played -- and you can save it up.
Play 6 hours, get a full hour off. (Full rules can be seen here.)
You'll get food and drink served to you while you play (details not yet
provided as to what'll be on the menu -- but it will undoubtedly
include something like Red Bull and Skittles and hopefully something
with some slower burning carbs). Rewards & prizes are given both
for signing up as well as for completing the action. But c'mon, the
glory alone is probably worth it, never mind the likely pleasure of
impressing wandering booth bunnies -- so, shower before you start the
marathon, ok?
