with the bmw adds half that probly goes to them.very impressive looking case tho case modes have been around a while with similar designs .if it was around 300$ i would have considered it for next build.but 700$ ill stick to either another armor + or go with a coolmaster case.

The pages of MaximumPC have featured dozens of great looking cases over the years, as well as dozens of awful looking ones.  Just as with most things, aesthethics are completely subjective.

To me, this is an amazing looking case that I would be proud to show off to friends and family.  I've really never seen anything like it and that alone makes it enviable.

I can understand why many would balk at the design since it is so original.  I can understand why many more would balk at the price - this case is VERY expensive.  But for those out there that want something truly unique, this case provides it - in spades.

Bravo Thermaltake and BMW Design.  Amazing case.

I'll be watching for a review on building a system in the Level 10 and be intrigued to see performance numbers.

And $700????  While it looks cool and is an interesting idea, the price is just crazy.  I cannot see spending that much for a case.  I do like the individually cooled compartments, but damn.

This is a hybrid. This is a cross, ah, of Bluegrass, Kentucky
Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia. The
amazing stuff about this is, that you can play 36 holes on it in the
afternoon, take it home and just get stoned to the be

That would be an awesome case to mount a monitor on. The large flat side could easily have a nice 30" panel mounted to it to create a nice looking all in one.

in my opinion, this case is a normal concept case, nothing special or unique.

great design, terrible price & what about the performance?

avatar

ErrantConstruct

Since each component section is thermally isolated, wouldn't each section need its own cooling?

I know the pictures are stunning, but I'm sure you can tear yourself away from them long enough to actually read the article. Then you'd find that it clearly says:

"Each compartment on the Level 10 has its own ventilation."

Good looking design, but doesn't look very efficient for cooling with every sinlge drive bay and other sections sealed. I'll stick with my ArmorPlus Supertower.

Clearly this is bucking for a artistic design award, and I suspect rightly deserves one.

The notion that its a real product is just amazing.

Be sure to let us know when the award is announced.

Finally something new and innovative.  I like the handle on top.

I was intrigued until I saw the pricetag, then I LOLed. Not worth it at all. It is an interesting case, but thats it. I dont see it have exceptional cooling or any other features. It just seems to be about looks. I could be wrong though. I would rather have the new Corsair case, becasue it is innovative and is made for high end cooling solutions.

I said "holy shit" out loud when I saw that.

I see this more as a novelty really.  Way to expensive.  Is there any purpose to the design or is it just a quasi work of art? I just see an over-priced case that has a lot of extra nooks and crannies to collect dust.  No one puts money into a case because it doesn't add to a computers performance.

Was awesome till I saw the price tag. college student+buying awesome things= poor kid

I feel guilty just by looking at it but its freakin massive. It is in its own right however a work of art, impressive. Kudos Thermaltake & BMW DesignWorks.

I would definitely buy that case... if it didn't cost as much as 2 gtx 295's :P

I wonder how practical this is? If it can be water cooled ( even though im not sure it will need it) im sold.

can someone say dream machine 2010?

avatar

SevWarfare

That is one of the coolest and most original cases that I've ever seen.

avatar

_-slick-_

Wow!  That is pretty impressive.  Unique and very good looking at that!
