Download of the Week: CintaNotes
For those times when Notepad just isn’t enough, CintaNotes paves the way with its elegant and nonintrusive user-friendly interface. This simple text-collecter organizes any information, thoughts, ideas, article excerpts, blog posts, quotes, Wikipedia entries and any other block of text you might want to archive. All you have to do is copy your text and then press a hot key (Ctrl + F12) to automatically insert it into CintaNotes—you don’t even have to install a plug-in to integrate it with your web browser.

You can also manually start up CintaNotes, press the Insert key, and then paste your block of text into the application, adding your own tags and web links to the clip. Or, if you’re a mobile rogue, armed with only a simple USB stick, you can run CintaNotes as a self-contained application and any new data will be saved directly to the flash drive. You can also search for notes based on tags and body text. This application should prove extremely handy for users who just want to collect bits and pieces of the Internet, without the hassle of a memory-hogging document editor.
Every Wednesday, we pick a new free or shareware download as our favorite of the week. Have a nifty application that you can't live without? Send suggestions to fion [AT] futureus.com with "Download of the Week" in the subject line.
