Hi guys, love the magazine.  Had a issue with this main article though.  It makes sense to me to compare your first example on which you spent $369 with an off the shelf new $500 system.  But then you proceed to spend about $1000 on the next two systems, but continue to compare them to that same $500 off-the-shelf retail system.  Wouldn't it be a better comparison if you were to use a $1000 off-the-shelf system?  I'm all for upgrading and have done it myself and for others many times, but performance increase acheived for $ spent upgrading versus performacne increase for $ spent on a new machine is of huge importance.  Your article doesn't answer that question for the 2nd and 3rd examples.

And yes, I think the joy of completing a successful upgrade is a big plus and should be factored in!
