Hi guys, love the magazine. Had a issue with this main article though. It makes sense to me to compare your first example on which you spent $369 with an off the shelf new $500 system. But then you proceed to spend about $1000 on the next two systems, but continue to compare them to that same $500 off-the-shelf retail system. Wouldn't it be a better comparison if you were to use a $1000 off-the-shelf system? I'm all for upgrading and have done it myself and for others many times, but performance increase acheived for $ spent upgrading versus performacne increase for $ spent on a new machine is of huge importance. Your article doesn't answer that question for the 2nd and 3rd examples.
And yes, I think the joy of completing a successful upgrade is a big plus and should be factored in!
Thanks.
