comment Commentsprint Printemail EmailDeliciousDiggStumbleUponRedditFacebookSlashdot

This week, Dave, Gordon, and Andy talk tons about Maximum PC's self-created storage benchmark of complete awesomeness. We also preview all the sweet Game Developers Conference announcements (and rumors) for next week, and light the funeral pyre for HD-DVD. We hardly knew thee.

Of course, there's the usual round of mega-important listener questions. And feel free to listen to Gordon's big weekly rant--this time, it's personal.

avatarexperts exchange answers revealed.

Gordon,

I feel your pain with the google results from experts exchange, but you should be asking yourself "self, how does google know there's a relevant answer?" Easy - their bots are allowed in. So instead of clicking the link, click the Google cache link, and read the entire useless conversation and its eventual answer.

P.S.: Keep on ranting, my #1 kiss-my-ass-erati!

YOU BOUGHT POTO ON HD-DVD.

that being said, i do mourn the passing of this glorious format. but i am glad i waited on the sidelines til a decision was made; saved me a couple hundred bucks i'd otherwise have completely wasted. yay!

Hd quality fighting Robots its not the same as low quality fighting Robots cartoons.

Go watch the original and get your brain turn to mush...

avatarTransformers Generation 1 for President

Damn straight. Nothing beats generation 1 animated series- nada. Well, unless you count the original movie (Galvatron), which is probably better than Citizen Kane. Proof? It was Orson Welles' last performance (as Unicron)! I even went out and got the infamous limited edition where Spike says "Oh shit." Good times.

avatarOffice Ribbon interface

I know most of you hate the new ribbon but I have found that I like it more than the old menu system. For those like me what use keyboard shortcuts for as many functions as possible you should try holding down the Alt key and office will place a popup with the Alt+ options on all items that can be accessed. This feature alone made the ribbon tolerable when I first started using it.

I definitely agree w/ those of you who hate the ribbon interface in office 2007! Obviously MS has never head of the "if it aint broke don't fix it" saying!! lol
