No BS Podcast #89: Gordon Brings the Rage
This week, we recorded a mostly zombie-free edition of the No BS podcast. While there was a little undead chat, we also talked about CUDA vs. OpenCL vs. DirectX 11 and using iTunes the Gordon Mah Ung way. This week, we're pretty certain that we even managed to post the right pocast (if you missed last week's, just redownload it. It's linking to the right one now). Join the podcast gang as we answer your tech questions, take a trip to the Lab, and get a chock-full-o'-rage edition of Gordon Mah Ung's Rant of the Week!
Do you have a tech question? A comment? A tale of technological triumph? Just need to get something off your chest? A secret to share? Email us at maximumpcpodcast@gmail.com or call our 24-hour No BS Podcast hotline at 877.404.1337 x1337--operators are standing by. For the love of all that's holy people, if you guys don't start asking tech questions, we're going to change the name to the Nothing But Undead podcast...

During the podcast some software that allowed hulu to be streamed to the 360 was mentioned. I googled this, but didn't find it. I think it was referred to as "boxy"? Anyone have a link?

I agree about the zombie apcolpse. An aircraft carrier would be awsome. Just take it really, really deep. Oh, and bring a couple greenhouses with you, as well as solar panels, and loads of ammo. Screw the F-22 raptors or whatever they have on the deck. They could be used as a greenhouse. Oh, and going to woods would kind of be asking for trouble.

1. MaxPC really doesn't have a lot of ads, and I usually enjoy looking at most of them anyways.
2. Gordon, I love you....we all love you. Please never stop being your angry self. Out of curiosity, does your wife ever listen to the podcast?

Hey Gordon, i noticed same thing with my T-Mobile phone. I was on my old PC one time, which has a CRT monitor. My phone was laying right in front of it, so it rang. And when it did my screen went wacko. Color changing, rapid flickering, and distorted image. Crazy stuff! You should try that if you can.

Hrm, do you really want to admit to reading Vogue though? I must say, that's rather non-geeky of you...

The text to speech voice message was probably the new text-to-speech voice provided with Leopard.

interesting ... my guess its the GSM 3G signal interference.as for the sounds, all GSM phones do that, have ya tried a Nokia ... well ... Nokia is not that popular in the US anyway ...
Sprint is using CDMA which doesn't cause the same interference as GSM phones ...
