Been a subscriber and basically addicted to the magazine since the early
2000's.Jon left, G. Jones takes over, and proceeds to do stupid shit like give games 11 ratings. So after way too many months, I let my subscription expire. The magazine went to hell while he (Jones) was there.. Michael Brown takes over (albeit too shortly), I then re-subscribe. Great. Glad to have Jones back, I was enjoying the content way too much. At least tell me that he hasn't touched the DM2010.
Bad decision bringing Jones back. Gordon, tell him not to touch anything, don't put up any pictures, and for god's sake, don't take a dump on the style of the magazine again. Change is good. Jones sucks.
-Sincerely, a very loyal reader.

There was one game that got an 11 - and it's Half Life 2 - so I don't know what you're smoking.

So you are saying that HL2 is the best game Ever? Great, yes, but Ev-Er? Not so sure about that.

Up to the point in time when that review was made HL2 was the very best of the best. It deserved it's 11 kick ass of all time award. If you were to review today with current games and hardware it would still get a high score but there are some really good games out now so that would hurt its score. But at its time it was an awesome game.

He's probably one of those die-hard Crysis fans and must be annoyed it didn't get an 11...

Appreciate your comment, but I have been reading this mag for a day or two. Certainly long enough to know the different styles that Byte/MaxPC has gone through. Since your Mom probably pays for your subscription, I should tell her thanks for letting you participate.

Yeah, I'll get riiiiight on that...
Well, I may have not been a reader since 2000, after all, I was turning twelve back THEN, but I have been a reader since Dream machine '07. I may not have seen a big writer's style change like you did, but I'm certainly gonna keep an open mind to what George can offer to the magazinem that's all I'm saying. And actually, believe it or not, I'm a big boy and can pay for my subscription itself. Not everyone on an internet forum is a twelve year old kid, but you should know that right?

Great to have a loyal reader; that implies you trust our judgment, right? So trust Jon's judgment and give George a chance, huh?

Thanks for reading these posts. Sorry about posting so negatively, but I feel pretty strongly about MPC. Read it over and over again while overseas, soft spot for it I guess.

Intel CEO predicted a 10ghz P4 and 1billion transistor processor by 2010. Kinda depressing.

No usually it's much better usually encoded in 5.1 surround sound. They usually use an expensive Neumann BCM-104 - Large Diaphragm Condenser Broadcast Microphone for the podcasts but they recently downgraded to the Apple Imic for podcasting.
