Zalman May Expand Into Graphics Cards Sometime This Week
One hit wonders stick in our collective consciousness, but it pays to diversify – just ask MC Hammer. Along those lines, Zalman – which you probably know mainly for its lineup of cooling gear and PSUs – may be preparing to spread its wings and expand into the ultra-competitive world of Radeon graphics cards, if some slides leaked to the Web over the weekend turn out to be legit.

AnandTech pointed us towards Overclockers.ua, which hosts said slides. All in all, the specs for the Zalman cards look pretty ho-hum, assuming, of course, that the information is correct. The three leaked cards are built around AMD 6870, AMD 6850 and AMD 6770 GPUs with stock clock speeds, at $190, $168 and $124, respectively. While these cards look fairly standard, given the company’s background in cooling, perhaps products built specifically for hot, overclocked goodness might appear sometime down the line? We can only hope.
We may officially hear about Zalman’s foray into the graphics arena as earlier as tomorrow, December 15th, if the sources are correct.
