Would You Pay $1,200 for a Mouse?
We're not sure how we would envision a $1,200 mouse, but we're pretty sure it wouldn't resemble the Titanium Mouse by Intelligent Design. Yet that's how much the Dutch outfit says their rodent is worth. So what do you get in exchange for all those ducats?
A handcrafted Bluetooth laser mouse, for starters. Intelligent Design says the body is finished in hand-formed grade 1 titanium and high-quality plastic (resin). The $1,200 rodent also integrates a 3-button neodymium scroll wheel, and how can you put a price on neodymium?
It's wireless and runs on two AAA batteries, and it boasts support for Windows XP, Vista, 7, and Mac OS X. But then again, if you have $1,200 to spare on an mouse, you could probably just hire someone to move your existing rodent for you, and fetch your lunch while you're at it.

I spent $100 on my G9x and love it. But for $1200 I would expect an oled touch screen integrated into each button lol =D If you are using your mouse and keyboard on the daily why not spend the extra dough and get something that will last???

For 1.2G the coil should be in a mouse pad and a matched one in the mouse with a rechargable batt.

I wouldn't spend more than $50, unless it's this bad boy:
I'm pretty sure it originally retailed for around $69.99, but they are so sought after that you can rarely find one for under $150 in new condition. Mine recently died and I'm on the verge of getting a new one.

Logitech MX Revolution. Wonderful mouse. Sadly, it stopped working (or at least the receiver did) 2 months out of warranty and i don't have the cash to get a new one.

Even though it's out of warranty, it'd be worth giving Logitech a call and seeing if they'll replace it anyway. That's not to say they will, but their customer service is pretty excellent.

I might pay $100 for a mouse if it also doubled as a motion sensor so I could wave at my screen to point toward something. Until there is an input device that reads minds i'm not going over $100.

It's almost the perfect Apple mouse.
I say almost because it has 2 too many buttons to make it feasible for Apple users.

when I spent $50 on my G5 I thought I was crazy for spending so much. luckily it's turned to be the best mouse i've ever owned, which isn't saying a whole lot, but it's been a good mouse.

At $1,200, that mouse better be able to fetch me drinks and call a cab!
Seriously, companies who pump crap like this deserves to go down.

I waited for the Logitech G5 to come on sale at Newegg and spent around $35-$40 on it. I just might spend more if the mouse deserves it, but I don't ever see myself spending more than $100 on a mouse. And I love my G5... it would take a hell of a mouse for me to consider spending that much on it.

That thing looks really uncomfortable. I'd take a form-fitting fifty-dollar logitech over that thing any day.

This will be introduced as brand new technology for new Apple computers about 5 years from now. And it will cost at least 50% more.

I payed $6.50 shipped for my mouse. I've never wanted anything other then what my mouse has - 2 butons and a scroll wheel. Every time i've used a mouse with more butons they just pissed me off.
$1200 for a mouse? - HAH! You could buy the most expensive intel processor and still have $300 left over for that price!.. sheesh. I don't think the people who made that mouse where thinking straight.

The Logitech MX518 is the most expensive mouse I have ever or would ever buy...and at $45, I thought it was a bit high. Really, 90% of the time, a $20 is perfectly fine, and is about all that I would recommend to people to buy.
Of course, all that said, my '518 has lasted me for 3 1/2 years...

"Would you buy it?" Simple answer: #### NO! lol That's a waste of money for a basic mouse. I don't throw money away... regardless of how rich I am. :/

I paid $120 when the G9 laser mouse first came out.... the best 120 bucks i've spent. I'm in love with it..... I would, however, spend upwards of $250 for a mouse if it had the right features.

Well color me impressed. And three buttons. And high quality plastic. Not that crap they use to make your precious soda bottles, the good shit. Made from the fossilized remains of Jesus Christ Himself.

Would I pay 1200 smackers for a mouse? I think I can heartily answer that with a big fat freaking NO!
