Winklevoss Twins Pick Up Towel, Attack Facebook from Another Angle
We've watched enough horror movies to know that the bad guy is never really dead. The body disappears, an arm pops up, or the eyes open with an ominous stare as the camera fades to black, hinting of a sequel. Whether or not you consider the Winklevoss twins the bad guys in their ongoing dispute with Facebook over a $65 million settlement is up to you to decide, we're just playing the part of spoiler and telling you this drawn out drama/horror flick isn't yet over.
The joke's on us for thinking this saga had finally come to an end when, just yesterday, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss decided after "careful consideration" not to take their case to the Supreme Court. According to a report in the International Business Times, the twins aren't giving up after all, they're just trying a different strategy. Up to this point, the Winklevoss boys went after Facebook based on an alleged misrepresented valuation of the social network site at the time the original settlement agreement was signed. This time around they're saying Facebook should have disclosed conversations co-founder Mark Zuckerberg had with his associates in 2003 and 2004 regarding the site.
The twins intend to show that Zuckerberg had conversations from the get-go of screwing them over when he was supposed to be working on a social networking site for them.
"They made a mistake haha. They asked me to make it for them. So I'm like delaying it so it won't be ready until after the facebook thing comes out," reads an excerpt from the leaked conversations. "So you know how I'm making that dating site. I wonder how similar that is to the Facebook thing. Because they're probably going to be released around the same time. Unless I f*** the dating site people over and quit on them right before I told them I'd have it done," reads another excerpt.
It's unclear how much the Winklevoss twins are hoping to get. The original settlement gave them $45 million in private Facebook shares and $20 million in cash. According to IBT, their settlement is now worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

From an outsider's perspective, they just seem like rich douche bags arguing over their riches. Kind of hard for me to care about anyone in this case.

From what I'm hearing, they basically came up with Facebook, and Mark cheated them out of it with an inferior product while he ran with their idea. Why shouldn't they be entitled to more? If their story is true, Mark is a f--king theif.
