I'm still using an Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 from ten years ago. MS hasn't made a better performing, more comfortable, more reliable wireless mouse since.

I am the only person ever that switched to Windows 8 and liked it. I don't have a touchscreen, I have a touchpad on my core i3 budget laptop, and I think it's the bee's knees. I never got why everyone cries over not having a start menu, drag your mouse cursor to the lower left of the screen and... bam! There's all your shit. So what if it's in tile form? It took me all of 10 minutes to find my way around. I realize that talking about this is the same as arguing politics, religion, or gun control on the internet... but it's really not so bad. Having said that, I'm pre-ordering the mobile mouse right now.

So you registered with Maximum PC a few hours ago to tell us how great Win8 is and you figured out how to use it in 10 minutes. LOL! You left out that your 5 year old loves it too! Then after the sales pitch you're buying the new M$ mouse with the windows key button. Sounds like you work for ...

Didn't I see you (Travis Bickle) in the movie Taxi Driver.

You are not the only one who likes Win8. I jumped on board at release and haven't regretted the move one bit. I gave the OS to my son...a hardcore gamer...for Christmas. He loves it.

I don't have a laptop now, but when I did, I never used the touchpad...I hate those things. I always used a mouse. But I won't be getting this Win8 mouse. I have absolutely no problem tapping the Windows key when I need to get to the Modern UI.

"You don’t have to worry about a tiny USB transceiver since the Sculpt Comfort Mouse uses Bluetooth to connect to your Windows PC or tablet. The Sculpt Mobile Mouse is essentially a Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 with a Windows touch tab. It has a compact design, a wireless USB transceiver, and BlueTrack technology." So does it, or does it not use a usb transceiver to connect to the computer?

LOL! This will fix Windows 8! LOL!

M$ what are you thinking???

I'm boycotting all new Microsoft products.

I want them to fix the desktop (widgets back, metro gone).

Alternatively, I'd like a desktop alternative from Valve, who I trust far more than Microsoft.

If they can put together something easy to use, then I'd be happy to chuck Windows in the bin.

Save some money and get one of the many programs that restore the Start button. Need for this mouse goes away instantly.

Just get X-Mouse.

I use it to program the middle mouse button to swap between the desktop & the start screen. If you are running Stardock's Start8 - program whatever mouse button you want to emulate the right windows key.

I have no interest in gestures, swipes & whatever on my multi-mon desktop setup. But having to press a key on the keyboard, or do acrobatics with the mouse to swap between the start screen & the desktop drives me crazy - especially when I find myself on a single monitor system.

I'm perfectly fine with my old Logitech MX-518, and X-Mouse fixes all that nonsense. And I agree with everyone else it'll be all but impossible not to hit that new button by accident.

Double Post - Sorry

Anyone else think people (especially clumsy people) are going to hit that blue strip way too often by mistake? I sense another epic fail here.

Depends on the sensitivity of it. I'll wait until I try it or get feedback from others.

What do you need a mouse for when you have Tiles? ;-)

The position of the touch surface looks like just the perfect spot for you to accidentally hit it over and over again.

Agree, I normally hold the mouse with my thumb in that position, I would be activating it constantly. And why do you need a mouse with a supposed touch oriented OS? Just put the start button back where it belongs, no need to reinvent the wheel for something that was not broken.

Most people hate that fucking button JUST PUT IT IN THE LOWER LEFT CORNER OF THE START BAR LIKE IT ALWAYS WAS.

I love this idea (now give me my start button back).

If it came in a wired version I'd consider it.
