You cut the quote off too early. It's "up half a percentage point from February and up from a 2.26 percent share in January." If you click on the source link (or do the math), you'll find the share in February was 2.67, which is 0.5 less than its current share (3.17 - 0.5 = 2.67).

  • January: 2.26 percent
  • February: 2.67 percent
  • March: 3.17 percent
