About Ballistic Gaming PC:
There is a new player in the custom gaming PC market space boasting the quality and performance of a boutique builder while offering the most affordable gaming computers on the market. Ballistic Gaming PC is officially opening its doors Wednesday November 25, 2009 and as part of their launch Ballistic has partnered with GamesRadar.com and MaximumPC.com to giveaway two Ballistic high-performance gaming computers starting today which will include Intel's i7-920 processor and NVIDIA's top video card the GTX 295.
Consumers have less disposable income in this current economic climate and so Ballistic offers the best possible deal to make sure their customers are always getting the lowest price. However, Ballistic does the unfathomable by, in addition, offering a 3 year parts & labor warranty with home-grown US based lifetime tech support. Ballistic has taken this simple philosophy and interwoven it into every aspect of its business. In today’s bear economy the idea of opening another ultra high-end, ultra expensive boutique gaming computer company was not very appealing, but the idea of running any company without the quality and service of a boutique vendor seemed downright wrong to Ballistic's founder Paul Singh.
Ballistic Gaming PC got its humble start building gaming and high-performance computers for other companies as a contract manufacture. Over the next 10 years Ballistic's reputation for quality became better known and the number of customers requesting their services increased dramatically. However, rather than stay in simply the business to business market Ballistic made the decision to bring its expertise to the consumer market.
Great customer service and low prices are all important factors to a business, but quality is the lynch pin that ties a business to the wings of success. Ballistic has had 10 years to perfect its 72 hour testing method and it is unlike those at any other boutique vendor not to mention competitors with equivalent pricing; Ballistic utilizes real-in-game testing to make sure that the consumer is receiving a gaming PC that truly provides them with the most immersive experience possible. This includes frame rate monitoring, artifact testing, 24 hour burn-in testing - all of it to ensure the highest quality product for the consumer. Ballistic also carries only the highest quality components because it does not want its customers to suffer through computer issues two years after purchase. "We refuse to carry sub-par components and hardware, it's useless and expensive to us in the final evaluation and annoying to the consumer who is entrusting us with the responsibility of ferreting out bunk products from their computer. We take that responsibility seriously," says Singh.
All of these advantages are wrapped in an incredibly affordable package. Ballistic Gaming PC is a company built around the understanding of the current economy and is offering what a lot of gamers have been asking for a long time; a company that has affordability while maintaining the highest quality and performance. And though these seem to be two opposing ideas that shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence Ballistic Gaming PC and its founder Paul Singh have done exactly that.

Some Dream Machine this is. I just built a better Rig than theirs, and for less money. It's got way more muscle too. No need for that GTX 295 if your only going with 1333 RAM. Down grade that GTX and get better and more RAM, and toss out that monitor too...

Just built a rig for a buddy of mine ... same CPU and MoBo but went with Win7 Ultimate 64 bit ... 6GB OCZ 1600 RAM, a 1TB WD Black drive, and a 22x DVD burner. He already had a monitor and the vid card and case we got cost less but with local sales tax it only cost him $925.00. Where these guys come up with an extra 2 grand for time to build and 3 year warranty is beyond me. I've been building boxes for customers for 10 years now and have never charged more than 20% above my cost. Maybe thats why I'm not Bill Gates rich ?? LOL

That's one deal.
Our selling price of this system is going to be around $1,616.00, NewEgg came out to $1,610.80 for the parts themselves (including the Scout chassis, and the Asetek cooler not listed at the moment as a part of the speciications).
Cheers,

"Ballistic Gaming PC -- Value $2,920.00
- Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
- Intel Core i7 920 2.66GHz
- EVGA X58 LE Edition SLI
- 3GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 295 1.792GB
- 750W Dual-SLI compatible Power Supply
- 500GB Western Digital Hard Drive (7200RPM, 16MB cache)
- 20X DVDR Optical Drive
- 3 Year Platinum Care Extended Parts & Labor Warrant"
Total cost on newegg ~$1,500 which means the "value" is mostly the warranty which if you have to pay the cost of two systems is worthless, and while I enjoy winning stuff that isn't a very good way for Ballistic Gaming PC to get its name out since most people on here would know that system isn't worth $3,000 which means they are probably going to be selling systems for way more then they're worth like dell (and others do), I may enter the contest but I would never recommend someone claiming a value of double the actual value of what they're selling.

Ballistic actually contacted us to clarify the price -- the system alone is actually being sold for $1,616 (priced competitively with your $1500 newegg estimate), and the total prize is valued at $2,165, which includes the Nvidia 3D vision bundle.
From what I understand, the 3-year warranty is standard on all ballistic systems, so it's not there just to artifically bump up the value. Sorry about the confusion.

My appolgies, I was reviewing the spec sheet posted above and didn't see the 'Asetek cooling system' and the 'Scout chassis' mentioned in the specs. With adding those two, the final selling price will be very close to $1,616.
I had a chance to goto NewEgg and spec it out for fun, and it comes out to $1,610.80 in their shopping cart. I tried to upload a screenshot, but it isn't possible here.
Cheers!

@xchrissypoox,
There's a mistake on the actual selling price of this PC. We've sent a notice to the editorial staff to have it corrected.
The actual selling price of this unit on Ballistic Gaming PC's website will be around: $1,459 =]
Yes, that includes a 3 year warranty and life-time in-house customer support. We're changing the custom gaming pc business.
Low prices + Quality + Service = Ballistic Gaming PC

This is a LTDI rig. Let Them Do It. You probably priced out the parts, but neglected to factor in shipping, handling and spending time building the rig. After all, time is money. I also hope that you didn't factor in rebates when checking on prices, cause that would be lame. But I do admit, throwing the 3 year Platinum Warranty in the mix is a little cheap, kinda shady too.
Yes, yes, my time is money too and I admit I didn't double-check your calculations.

I did factor in labor, time, etc. But the price has been changed to just below the price I said so all is well (the parts I made the mock up with were very nice expensive parts so it isn't suprising that it came in under the price I specified).
