Wall-E Case Mod is Insane, Awesome

If you have kids, make sure they're out of the room before looking any further. That is, unless you want to devote the next 18 days to building a kick-ass case mod that will appeal to just about any age. According to EnglishRussia.com, that's how long it took "this Russian guy" to build his Wall-E inspired case mod.

After watching the movie, the Russian modder thought to himself, "I want to build such a thing and hold my computer stuff in it." And that he did, using Swiss precision homemade heavy metal.

This ranks as one of the coolest case mods we've ever seen, and even better, the modder offered up a worklog so you can replicate the design at home. See you in 18 days.

avatarWORKLOG link in story....

After clicking the "Worklog" jump in the paragraph, I got a blank white screen and a pop-up from one of those bogus web scanners telling me I have malicious software. I had to go into Task Mang to shut down Firefox. :P

avatarAwesome!

I have to say...awesome, pure awesome. Second best case mod i've seen in technology, best pc one. Best one is a Millenium Falcon Xbox (original) a couple years back. It was very, very accurate in color and shape, quite clever really.

I don't like Microsoft, I associate with it.

avatarPixar should order a baker's dozen

The greatest mod EVER! It will only take you 18 days after you become a metal worker master craftsman and possibly a mechanical engineer. That may take you 18 years. :) Truely awsome.

avatar"Ta-Da!"

Hope he doesn't have to pay any fees to Pixar for Wall-E's likeness...I doubt they would do that lol. The creators are probably staring at their screens going, "Nice. This shows we inspire all ages."

I wouldn't think so. He did it for personal use. Now if he tries to sell it...

avatarHmm? who's mistake?

The worklog claims that it took the guy 18 days, not months. So which is it?
