RUSENSITIVESWEETNESS

I buy whatever advertisers and the media tell me is hot right now, no matter how much it costs. I pride myself in being able to stay in the front of the flock as it is lead by the nose. I want that 3D experience and all my most private secrets on Facebook for all the world to share.

Actually 21:9 is 2.33:1 in cinema speak which is close to what some of the current movies are being shot at and some of the older classics (pending on if it is shot anamorphic or in Super 35 )in some instances all 2.78:1 was used. 16:9 is 1.78 to 1. no matter.. that means hollywood would have another reason to release all the movies we bought on bluRay just to fill this "fancy" TV... (not worth it) I will be glad when the Cinema/TV aspect pissing contest is over.

I'd much rather have a normal widescreen aspect ratio and the ability to VERTICALLY stretch and justify picture....

Of course what I REALLY want is a TV with UNIVERSAL justified picture. Full resolution media would display pixel to pixel and EVERYTHING else would stretch and justify to fill the entire screen and NEVER show black bars either above and below or light and left.

I can dream can't I?

or you could buy a 16x9 tv and an ipad, and to the same things for 1/2 the price, while taking up much less wall space.

I'm sick of stretching/cutting off screen images.

I am bearish. High end TV buyers usually tend to be picky.

A blatant disregard for correct aspect ratio AND a crazy price? What were they thinking??? You could buy a decent 3DTV and a tablet for that price!

From what I understand it, films are shot in 21:9 and quite a few DVD's / Blurays can be watched in this ratio...

Worth it? Def not.
