When Vizio entered the PC market last year, we didn’t quite know what to expect. The company has left quite the competitive mark on the TV industry, driving prices to levels few expected. The company’s lineup of Ultrabooks were fairly standard from an industrial design standpoint, but as our very own Paul Lilly pointed out, its the 1080p displays that really set them apart.
Vizio has refreshed its Ultrabook lineup for 2013 just ahead of CES, and while the design hasn’t changed much, touchscreens and quad core chips from either Intel or AMD are now standard on all its offerings. The amazing IPS 1080p displays are also a standard option on all but the 14-inch Thin + Light, which only cuts the resolution down to 1,600 x 900 to reduce the weight and thickness ever so slightly.
Those on the hunt for a new tablet might also want to take note of the company's new Vizio Tablet PC. This 11.6-inch slate will run the full X86 version of Windows 8 on a dual-core, 1GHz AMD Z60 CPU, and also features a 1080p display. 2GB of RAM, 64GB of SSD storage, 2MP front facing camera, and Micro-HDMI / USB ports round out the spec sheet.
All models will also ship with a bloatware-free Microsoft Signature image of Windows 8, which to be honest, is really the only way it should be. Availability for the new hardware wasn’t stated, but we expect more details to emerge at CES.

The 14 inch thin and light laptop is only $850! I'm really surprised at how cheap this is. I must take a closer look at these.

Why don't they use that display experience and put out a 24" 2560x1600 display.

That MS Signature thing is amazing. You would not believe the amount of crapware that came with my Asus Ultra I bought last month.
