Android tablet makers who aren't willing to compete with Amazon's upcoming Kindle Fire are likely to get burned (which is why some are choosing to focus on Windows 8-based slates instead). ViewSonic's message is 'Game on' as it introduces its new ViewPad 7e tablet with the "economical consumer in mind." And by economical consumer, ViewSonic is referring to customers willing to pony up no more than $200 for an Android slate.
This is a 7-inch tablet running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It has an 800x600 resolution, 1GHz ARM A8 processor, 512MB of DDR2 memory, 3MP rear-facing camera, 0.3MP front facing camera, 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 1080p video playback via micro HDMI, and a custom interface called ViewScene 3D with holographic visual effects.
The ViewPad 7e will be available in the U.S. by the end of the month for a penny shy of $200.

do not buy anything from viewsonic... they dont support their devices. The Gtablet was supported for a whole 3 months before they casted us aside. My tab is not even 9 mo old.

I agree! I had high hopes for the G tablet, but viewsonics support was just horrible. If it was not for XDA it would be in the trash.
Side note- What company that is known for having good quality screens for monitors and such, Gives their tablet a viewing angle so terrible it makes me want to cry every time i look at it?
